Hill Station in Kerala

Hill Stations of Kerala :

Much of kerala's exotic appeal is centred in the highland area of the western ghats. Rising to an average height of 1520 m, the tropical forests of the ghats house rich flora and fauna. Not to speak of expansive, loamy plantations of tea, coffee, rubber and fragrant cardamom.

Munnar Hill Station

Munnar, located at an altitude of 1,600 m, is one of the most beautiful hill stations of Kerala. Munnar has the highest peak in south India, Anamundi, which rises to a height of 2695 m. Munnar was the most favored summer destination of European settlers for centuries. Munnar actually means the 'Three Rivers' and derives its name from the three-mountain stream, Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. The confluence of these rivers is at the heart of the town and they fulfill all the water requirements of the town.

Idukki, with altitudes up to 2500 ft above sea level, is one of the most beautiful districts of Kerala in India, Idukki is a district whose name is derived from the Malayalam word 'Idukku' which means a narrow gauge. Flanked by the Western Ghats in the East, the district has many narrow steep-sided valleys, giving credence to the name. The High ranges and wooded valleys are girded by three rivers - Periyar, Thalayar and Thodupuzhyar - and their tributaries. The sacred river Pamba also originates from the mountain ranges here. As a tourist destination, Idukki is incomparable - forests, wildlife sanctuaries, hill stations, spices & plantation tours, mountain treks, elephant rides and some of the most spectacular landscapes anywhere in India.

Accommodation in Idukki

Accommodation is easily available at Idukki. You may either opt for the hotel, Bungalow or the guesthouse that offer a comfortable stay at the hill resort of Idukki.

Golden sandy beaches located in Tenerife South:
This was the first beach at Costa Adeje. It has fine golden sand and calm seas and is located in a very central area. The sea is great for practising water sports. There is a lifeguard service, sun loungers and parasols for hire, parking, restaurants, bars, showers, changing rooms and a taxi rank and bus stop nearby.
Thanks
